What happened to the good PSP games?

"I'm tired of the second rate ports. When Iron Man is touted as a "great game" for the PSP, then you know you're portable console is screwed. I'm tired of all of the half baked JRPGs, bland Strategy RPG's and boring Action RPGs. Basically, anything with a PG at the end of it's description means that I'm gonna pass on it.
Unfortunately, lately on the PSP, that's all that's being offered. The question is: Why?
Ready at Dawn Studios, the great developers that brought Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus, are done with the PSP. They're not going to make games for it anymore. It appears, from this story in Joysitq, that the Ready at Dawn team is looking to tackle bigger games for the main consoles. That's too bad, really. You can point to their work on Daxter and God of War as being, arguably, two of the best examples of what the PSP has to offer gamers...."

Patapon, bitches. Get on it!
I've been the owner of a PSP for about a week, and there are at least a dozen games that I really want. Too bad most of them are around $30-40, which is a little much for a handheld game, if you ask me.

yeah..tha gemaes are too much...i always buy used games when i can to save money.unless it is a must have.
Re: What happened to the good PSP games?
I own both Daxter and God of War for the PSP and they are incredible games...
I also recently beat Crisis Core and that was also the shit...
I'm sad that ready at dawn are no longer making PSP games...
I really want a port of God of War 1 and 2 put togeather using the Chains of Olympus engine into one long game. The God of War collection or something along those lines...
I would love that. The engine used in both of ready at dawn's PSP games is based on Sony's Maya 3-D engine software which is what they used to make the jak and daxter games, god of war 1 & 2, mark of kri and many others for PS2...
The engine belongs to Sony so I'm sure we will see more PSP games utilize it whether ready at dawn is developing them or not...
And what about Crytek? That game is going to change handheld games forever...

A long time ago, on a message board far, far away...
Re: What happened to the good PSP games?
I have a few Psp games, it's kind of like the Wii there is a decent selection of games, just a lot that I don't give a shit about.
I'm looking forward to Resistance, ff dissisdia, and Midnight club. There's a hell of a lot more to look forward to on the Ds though.
I like the interent radio feature. I might start using the ps store for movies /tv shows over itunes, the Psp screen is more than 4times the size of my ipod screen.
